product for me, but as a loyal, long-time (6+ years) user of the
original CC Red Correct, I am deeply saddened by the recent reformulation.
For years, this was my holy grail. It went on beautifully light and fluid,
settling from green into a perfect, dewy 'my skin but better' finish;
and a neutral beige that completely calmed my fair, sensitive and reactive
Scandinavian skin (with olive/yellow undertones).
It was a very rare (!) skin-caring miracle that earned me endless
compliments in the sounds of 'your SKIN looks amazing. . !'
Unfortunately, the new formula is a completely different product.
It now dries down thick and heavy, looking very 'made up' and
clinging unflatteringly to dry areas while separating over others,
just like any (expensive or affordable) foundation product.
More importantly for the sensitive skin community, the addition
of Hyaluronic Acid in the new version has, for me, triggered breakouts
& small whiteheads that I never used to get, and never get otherwise,
and also surface tightness on my reactive skin, which I'm still trying to
recover from.
Looking at recent global reviews, it is clear I am not alone.
The previous 5-star formulation handled redness and skin texture
in a completely unmatched way (I've tried many), while this new version
compromised (my) skin barrier and completely lost the fresh, dewy finish
that made it what it was, a holy grail for me and so many others.
Please, Erborian, listen to your loyal community.
Hyaluronic acid does not work for everyone,
but is now in almost 'everything' on the market.
(On skin prone to surface dehydration and TEWL,
hyaluronic acid pulls moisture out from the deeper layers
of the skin rather than the air, leaving the skin barrier parched,
irritated, and prone to reactive breakouts. I had to research it,
and this is me spot on after the reformulation. )
We don't want heavy, trend-driven plumping ingredients;
we want the lightweight, soothing, dewy finish, reliable
original formula back.
I can't even say how much I hope you will consider bringing it back. . !
